The E.P. Carrillo La Historia E-III (6.9" x 54) is a box-pressed toro extra that embodies Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s mastery in blending full-bodied cigars with elegance and depth. Released as a tribute to the Carrillo family’s heritage, La Historia quickly became one of the most acclaimed lines in the boutique cigar world.
Wrapped in a dark, oily Mexican San Andrés Maduro wrapper, this cigar is bound with an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and filled with aged Nicaraguan long-fillers. The result is a rich and complex profile brimming with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, earth, and black pepper, balanced by hints of sweetness and cream that evolve beautifully throughout the smoke.
The E-III has earned top ratings, including a No. 2 Cigar of the Year spot on Cigar Aficionado 2014 rated 95.
